Christmas Cards for a Cause 🇺🇸
As many of you know, we love giving back—and we sure love America. 🇺🇸 We make it a point to help veteran causes and support those who sacrificed for our country.
It came to our attention that a family friend, a 95-year-old WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veteran, is on the top of Santa’s list and in need of some “old school” cheer!
We have a simple favor to ask from anyone who would be willing to send a 95-year-old WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veteran a Christmas card with a note this year.
Wallace Beach Sr. is very “old school” when it comes to sending or receiving cards or handwritten letters. Unfortunately, as the digital age arrived, he receives fewer—if any—as most of his friends and family members have passed away. Wallace is also the oldest remaining living person in his family and among his friends. When we sit and think about that, we can imagine what a heavy crown that is to bear—knowing that so many loved ones have gone on before you.
His daughter, Mary, shared: “Every time he gets a card or letter in the mail from someone, his mood soars! He gets so happy and reads it over and over again.”
Wallace truly enjoys handwritten notes and cards. So let’s all help with that.
Mary also shared that he is still very sharp in his mind, but his body is starting to fail him and he doesn’t venture out much. That’s why reading cards and letters is such an important part of his day. Along with visits from his new great-grandson, it brings him immense joy.
If you would be willing to send a card or a short handwritten note this Christmas to a man who still has lots of love, spunk, a great sense of humor with jokes to share, and wisdom to give, it would certainly make this the brightest Christmas ever for him.
We also want to show a man who fought for his nation that people care—that we appreciate his sacrifices and the wisdom he can share. Everyone has a purpose, no matter how old you get.
If you include your return address, you might just receive a reply back from him too! 😊
