You already know we LOVE coming out and dealing with your wildlife issues but we also like helping you help yourselves.

Sadly it’s getting to be that time of year, temperatures are dipping, leaves are going to be changing and dropping as well! All the beautiful landscaping we took so much pride in all year is getting ready to go dormant. Projects around the house have been put off in exchange for good times and BBQ’s!!

Well while we were cooking steaks on the grill and learning to wakeboard, all the critters around our homes spent the summer sneaking seeds and nesting materials in. Bats were having their young and so were the squirrels. And THAT’S why we end up at your homes.

In large part meeting us at your home IS avoidable. Homeowners need to be diligent and aware of what’s going on around our homes.

  • Simple things like maintaining our yards, don’t let the leaves pile up against and around the foundation, it can hold moisture which can rot the wood on your home and create access points. It also provides great hiding spots and safe passageways for rodents to spend time around your foundation.
  • Keep the shrubbery and landscaping trimmed back as this can produce the same safe haven.
  • Keep your garage doors closed and if you absolutely have to keep grass seeds and such in the garage MAKE SURE it’s stored in a sealable steel container to prevent access.

Periodically inspect your home. Download our homeowner checklist and check all those areas we mention to be sure there are no concerns. Be proactive and diligent. Your home is a huge investment and deserves to be taken care of BEFORE its too late and you need us. You don’t want to come home from a nice weekend away to find some rodents chewed the water line behind the dishwasher and the basement filled with water or they chewed on some wires and you’ve had a fire.

GOOD LUCK!!!!
